Happy International Museum Day from the Canadian Museums Association

On May 18th, International Museum Day, we celebrate the immense value our institutions offer to our society, both socially and economically. This year’s theme, Recover and Reimagine, provides an opportunity to reflect upon how museums will evolve out of the pandemic and continue to provide a myriad of advantages to the communities they call home, in a post-COVID world.

To commemorate this day, our Executive Director and CEO, Dr. Vanda Vitali was featured in iPolitics discussing the important role museums play in society and where we are headed next.

We also invite you to share your support for International Museums Day by using the following social media text and images:

On #InternationalMuseumDay, we celebrate and recognize museums as an essential resource of art, culture, heritage, science and creativity. Every day, virtually or up close in person, museums are here to inspire and educate. We look forward to your visit!
