Share your thoughts on the National Museum Policy

The Department of Canadian Heritage is seeking input to renew the National Museum Policy and has launched a public consultation exercise. All Canadians are encouraged to participate by contacting PCH and submitting a response to the Discussion Guide. The consultation is open from January-February 2023.

Those with limited time can focus on the discussion questions associated with the themes of the role of museums in society, resilience and sustainability, reconciliation, equity, diversity and inclusion, and preservation and access. It is important to provide input to ensure the needs and perspectives of the sector are considered. Submissions can be cc'd to advocacy@museums.ca

Thank you for being part of this effort to renew the policy and make an impact in the heritage sector.

CMA will also be participating in one of PCH’s virtual roundtable sessions in early March and observing other sessions in early Spring. We look forward to sharing sector perspectives on the NMP during these sessions.
