CMA 2023 Conference: Save the date and call for volunteers
We’re excited to announce that dates have been selected for the Canadian Museum Association’s 2023 National Conference. Please join us for a 2-day virtual meeting on February 27 & 28, 2023!
In anticipation of the event, we are looking for three to five (3-5) volunteers to participate on the CMA Conference Planning Committee from the current CMA membership.
Along with a representative from the CMA Fellows, those volunteers will join the following CMA Board Members:
- Sam Cronk
- Pailagi Pandya
- Madeline Smolarz
- Sophie Yamauchi
- Sandra Zapata
Participants will be chosen based on staff recommendations to the Committee chair and are based on a diversity of factors, including:
- Previous experience in event planning, especially online;
- A consideration of diversity within the committee, including a representation of different regions, perspectives, language capacity and museum experience (as per the Committee’s Terms of Reference).
How to Join
CMA Members (individual members, CMA Fellows and/or voting representatives of institutional members) are invited to review the Terms of Reference and submit a 1-page expression of interest along with an updated resume or LinkedIn profile to conferences@museums.ca by Sunday, October 2nd.
