Mark your calendars for CMA’s virtual event, Foundation and Future on Dec. 4, 2020 at 12 noon ET

As previously announced (Nov. 6, 2020), the Canadian Museums Association (CMA) is holding a Special General Meeting (SGM) where we will discuss and have a vote on modernized bylaws. This is just one element of an exciting online professional development event intended for the broader museum community.

We’re excited to invite you to Foundation and Future, a FREE virtual event during which we will discuss important foundational issues such as best practices in governance and important trends in the museum sector as we look toward the future.

• Learn about the role of governance, as well as the importance of conducting governance reviews
• Get important tips and best practices for good governance for all museums and related organizations
• Review, discuss and vote on the CMA’s new proposed bylaws (questions/voting for CMA members only)
• Hear about issues in the museum sector and what’s on the horizon
