Canadian Museums Association launches new strategic plan

Today the Canadian Museums Association (CMA) has unveiled its new strategic plan.

This plan is the result of significant research and consultations with a wide variety of stakeholders over the past several months, including with many of you who provided excellent input. Thank you to the Arts Consulting Group, who helped guide us through this effort, and to all those who participated and contributed to its development, both within and outside the CMA.

As our Executive Director, Vanda Vitali and our Board President, Jack Lohman, note in the introduction, this strategic plan is intended to be both ambitious, but also realistic considering the size and budget of the CMA. It will help focus our efforts over the next few years, but it remains at a high enough level that it can remain evergreen and adaptable to changing circumstances.

We are very proud to represent and support Canada’s museum community and we very much look forward to collaborating with you as we work to advance these important goals.
