Celebrating our 2020 CMA Award winners

Today, the Canadian Museums Association (CMA) unveiled a unique celebration of the recipients of the 2020 CMA Awards program.

Routinely announced at a gala during our national conference, the award winners’ names were made public a few months ago, however this year’s true celebration of their achievements was delayed by the pandemic.

To pay greater tribute to the winners, the CMA produced a dynamic series of articles, written by the wonderful Peter Simpson. To mark the occasion, complementary videos were produced which feature the vocal talents of our own President, Professor Jack Lohman. We encourage you to check out the complete celebration on our website .

In addition to our online celebration, the Winter issue of Muse magazine includes a commemorative pull-out insert on the 2020 awards. So please keep an eye out for the next issue.

We would like to thank the McMichael Canadian Art Collection for inviting us to shoot the video in their space, our award partners for their ongoing collaboration and Professor Lohman for lending his voice.

Most of all, we would like to extend our gratitude to all the 2020 award recipients for their contributions to the Canadian museum sector.
